Mercy Relief in Myanmar to help people affected by floods and internal conflicts

A team from humanitarian organisation Mercy Relief is in Myanmar to help people affected by floods and internal conflicts. 

Team members have distributed hygiene kits and tarpaulin for shelters worth some S$15,000  to 200 families living in the severely-inundated villages in Pathein District. 

Also being prepared, 35,000 ready-to-eat meals, water filtration systems and aid essentials, to be delivered to the Rakhine and Kachin states. 

123,000 people there have been displaced by conflicts and are facing food and water shortages. 

To date, Mercy Relief has delivered $168,000 worth of relief to Myanmar.
