SINGAPORE: MediaCorp has been named overall Television Broadcaster of the Year in an annual survey by Marketing magazine.
It is the third consecutive year that it has taken the title.
In a statement, MediaCorp said it clinched the top spot with its range of multi-platform marketing opportunities.
"Being named Television Broadcaster of the Year is a testament to MediaCorp's commitment in delivering consistent quality content and value which resonates with both our audiences and advertisers alike," said Mr Khiew Voon Kwang, deputy managing director of television at MediaCorp.
"We are honoured and thrilled to be recognised by our industry peers amidst strong competition, for being the preferred choice in reaching out and bringing home the messages to engage, entertain and enrich our audiences," Mr Khiew added.
The statement said the survey covered 763 respondents from Singapore, comprising 578 client-advertisers and 185 senior agency professionals.
It asked them about the top TV broadcasters they were most likely to work with.
Among the client-advertiser respondents, 84 per cent were manager-level decision-makers and above, with 16 per cent from the most senior ranks comprising CEOs, managing directors or general managers.
The statement said genuine advertising decisions-makers and influencers across key agency-using industries were well represented as were agency professionals from various marketing services categories.
Other broadcasters involved in the survey included Fox International Channels, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, CNBC Asia Pacific and BBC Worldwide Channels Asia. - CNA/fa
