MediaCorp in search of local talent to compose theme songs for new TV programmes

MediaCorp is looking for fresh talent to compose original theme songs for English, Chinese and Malay programmes. 

Recognise these theme songs from MediaCorp dramas? 

To all budding composers, MediaCorp is calling for song ideas for seven new TV programmes, ranging from blockbusters to drama serials. 

The Media Development Authority (MDA) will fund up to $8,000 to offset expenses such as studio hire, mixing cost, producer, composer and artiste fees. 

Songs that make the cut will be broadcast on TV, radio and online. 

The MDA and MediaCorp hope to support the local music industry by giving airplay for local musicians.

The call for submissions starts today and ends on 5 November for most programmes.
