The broadcasters of Singapore and Malaysia will present an annual gala variety show, Muzika Ekstravaganza, to enhance ties between their countries.
The show, which is the seventh in the series, will be staged by MediaCorp and Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) in Singapore on Friday.
It'll feature dance and music performances by a star-studded line-up, including Singapore Idol winner Sezairi Sezali and Malaysian Idol winner Jaclyn Victor.
Attending the event are Singapore's Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, and Malaysia's Minister for Information, Communications and Culture, Dr Rais Yatim.
Singapore's Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts said the annual show, which was started in 2005 as Rampaisari, underscores the close ties and collaboration between officials, broadcasters and artistes from both countries.
Muzika, which is co-produced by MediaCorp's Suria and RTM, will be broadcast 'live' on Suria channel and on Malaysia's TV2 RTM from 8.30pm to 10.30pm on Friday.
