Masagos to lead Malay Language Council delegation to KL
SINGAPORE: Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, will visit Kuala Lumpur and Pahang in Malaysia from 16 to 19 October.
While in Kuala Lumpur, he’ll lead a delegation from the Malay Language Council Singapore in a series of Southeast Asia Literature Council (MASTERA) meetings.
Singapore has attended the MASTERA meetings as an observer since 1995 and became a full member of MASTERA in 2012.
The other MASTERA members are Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei.
Mr Masagos is scheduled to meet Malaysia Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Richard Riot.
He’ll also be hosted to lunch by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Lee Chee Leong.
In Pahang, Mr Masagos will have an audience with Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah.
Besides meeting the Sultan of Pahang, he’ll also call on Menteri Besar Adnan Yaakob and Mufti of Pahang Abdul Rahman Osman.
