Man dead in accident in Little India, SCDF personnel attacked while extricating his body
A man was pronounced dead after he was trapped under a bus following an accident at the junction of Race Course Road and Tekka Lane on Sunday night.
In a statement issued early this morning (1.40am), the Singapore Civil Defence Force said the accident happened at about 9.25pm.
But just as civil defence officers were extricating his body using hydraulic rescue equipment, projectiles were thrown at them.
Nine SCDF vehicles were damaged in the incident.
And five vehicles were burnt - these include one SCDF ambulance, three police vehicles, and one motorbike.
As at 1.40am, SCDF had conveyed 18 casualties - including 4 SCDF personnel - to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
