Man charged with Teck Whye Lane murder

A 22-year-old man was today charged with the murder of an 88-year-old woman in Choa Chu Kang.
Muhammed Fazrie Mohamed Ridzuan is accused of causing the death of Madam Lee Ping Yeng on April 12.
Fazrie was arrested more than two weeks later.
The alleged offence took place at Teck Whye Lane, at about 11am.
The police said Madam Lee was found with head injuries at a lift lobby of a HDB block.
Madam Lee died three days later.
If found guilty, Fazrie faces either a lifetime in jail with caning, or the death penalty.
