LTA's MyTransport.SG wins global award for navigation strengths

The Land Transport Authority's (LTA) mobile channel, MyTransport.SG, has won a global award for visionary achievements.

It's the first in the Asia-Pacific region to bag an award at the international Summit Emerging Media Award (EMA) 2012.

It stood out in the Navigation Application category for its uniqueness, design and functionality, as well as user experience.

The App, which hit a peak of 3 million page-views a month, offers information to help commuters, motorists and cyclists better plan their journey.

The LTA is updating some features.

For example, the "Snap-&-Send" feature will have new categories such as Street Pothole and Signage/ Railing to better manage information sent by users.
Users can also look forward to real-time traffic speed information on expressways and roads.
