SINGAPORE: The Traffic Police are working to cut the waiting time for those wanting to take a Class 4 licence driving test.
The licence is needed for those who want to drive buses or lorries.
The Singapore Safety Driving Centre, where such test takes place, says there are some 1,700 waiting to take the test.
It cites the lack of manpower at the Traffic Police as the reason for the long wait.
The Singapore School Transport Association says the waiting time is now three months, up from the one and a half months previously.
It says some 80 school bus drivers are on the waiting list.
