Legless body case: Suspects held for psychiatric observation
The two male Pakistani suspects who are involved in the recent legless body luggage case was on Friday (June 20) remanded for psychiatric observation.
The two men - Rasheed Muhammad, 43 and Ramzan Rizwan, 25 - have been charged in the State Courts for the murder of 59-year-old Pakistani Muhammad Noor last Saturday, whose dismembered body was found last week.
Last Wednesday evening, a rag-and-bone man found a bloodied suitcase which contained the upper body of Muhammad Noor at Syed Alwi Road. His legs were found the next day in a piece of luggage at a Muslim cemetery at Jalan Kubor, just a short distance from Syed Alwi Road.
The two men are alleged to have committed the murder between June 10, at about 12.01 am and June 11, at about 6.04pm at 6B Rowell Road, Room 44. They were arrested at about 3pm at Rowell Road last Thursday, which is just two streets away from the gruesome find.
Both men will return to court on July 11. If convicted of murder, they face the death penalty.
