Land Transport Authority to explore ideas to improve road safety

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has been tasked to look into ideas raised during a discussion on road safety.

This is according to Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim.

In a Facebook post today, Dr Faishal said he met with a group of concerned citizens to discuss ways to inculcate safe and responsible behaviour in road users.

This is especially among more vulnerable groups such as the elderly and children.

The discussion also focused on raising road situation awareness among motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.

Dr Faishal wrote about some of the suggestions raised such as tweaking the traffic light design and making road safety part of the school curriculum.
