Labour movement welcomes tripartite guidelines for itemised payslips
The labour movement has welcomed the tripartite guidelines on the issuance of itemised payslips, saying it will provide greater transparency for workers.
The NTUC says this will help workers better understand their salary components, and give them a means of proper documentation.
It has also urged workers to keep their payslips properly and clarify with their employers or HR personnel if they do not understand any of the components in their payslips.
The guidelines were released today to help employers, especially small and medium enterprises issue itemised paylsips.
The Manpower Ministry says it plans to make to issuing of payslips mandatory in two years.
