SINGAPORE: Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam will make an official visit to Turkey from Thursday till Saturday.
Mr Shanmugam’s visit is at the invitation of Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu.
During the visit, Mr Shanmugam will meet President Abdullah Gul, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Cemil Cicek, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, his counterpart Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu, and other Turkish leaders.
He will also lay a wreath at the Ataturk Mausoleum.
Mr Shanmugam will deliver an address on "The Rise of Asia in International Relations" at the Fifth Annual Ambassadors’ Conference organised by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Shanmugam will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
