Joseph Schooling to focus on Asian Games next year
After bagging six medals - five gold and one silver - at the Myanmar South East Asian Games, swimmer Joseph Schooling says he'll be focusing on next year's Asian Games.
He adds that even though he may have missed his target of six gold medals, he's optimistic he'll do better in the next meet.
"I'm happy with my achievement, I'm only 18, my second SEA Games. Hopefully I have more SEA Games ahead of me, and I'm just going back to working hard and I'm going to try to do my best and win more next time"
For now, Singapore's swimming sensation just want to hang out with his friends like any other 18-year-old.
Schooling was speaking to the media on the sidelines of a visit to the Marine Life Park at Resorts World Sentosa, where he had a chance to swim with the dolphins.
He will be heading back to Florida next month for his final year at Bolles School, before joining the University of Texas in August.
