IPS to launch books to celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday
The Institute of Policy Studies is launching a series of 50 publications to mark Singapore's Golden Jubilee next year.
The Singapore Chronicles will touch on topics such as politics, governance, economy and food.
The books will be written by prominent figures in each field.
For instance, former permanent secretary Peter Ho will discuss governance and how it has evolved over the years in his book.
And food writer Sylvia Tan will trace Singapore's culinary journey.
IPS' special research advisor Arun Mahizhnan says that the 100-page volumes are meant to offer some insight on what makes Singapore, Singapore, and how it's different from other countries.
