iPad Mini unveiled in Singapore, drawing crowds of Apple fans - some from overseas

The iPad mini was launched in Singapore today, once again drawing crowds of Apple fans.

Queues at Apple stores started as early as 8 last night, with some customers once again flying in from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand just to get their hands on the latest product.

Singapore is so far the only country in Southeast Asia that stocks the iPad mini which is smaller about 5cm shorter diagonally across the screen and is half the weight of the iPad.

Only the wifi model is available for now.

The model with 3G capabilities will only be out at the end of this month.
