SINGAPORE: Indonesia’s Trade Minister, Gita Wirjawan on Wednesday held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the prospects for the global economy, developments in the Asian region and opportunities to enhance bilateral relations.
Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Ministry said Mr Gita also called on Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang.
They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation, and exchanged views on economic developments in Singapore, Indonesia and the region.
Mr Gita is visiting Singapore on Wednesday and Thursday in conjunction with a speaking engagement organised by the Singapore Management University.
