SINGAPORE: The chairman of Indonesia’s People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Taufiq Kiemas met Acting Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean on Monday morning.
Mr Taufiq is here on an official four—day visit, at the invitation of Speaker of Parliament Michael Palmer.
During the meeting, Mr Teo and Mr Taufiq reaffirmed the good relations between Singapore and Indonesia.
They also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
On Tuesday, Mr Taufiq and his delegation will call on President Tony Tan Keng Yam.
He will also be hosted to lunch by Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam.
