SINGAPORE: An Indian gang—rape victim who was transferred to a Singapore hospital passed away at 4.45am on Saturday (Singapore time) after suffering from severe organ failure.
Dr Kelvin Loh, chief executive officer of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, said that the patient had "remained in an extremely critical condition since admission" and that despite the best efforts of a team of specialists at the hospital, her condition "continued to deteriorate".
Dr Loh added that the hospital share the family’s huge sadness at her passing and "will work with the High Commission of India to provide the family support".
