DHAKA: Singapore and Bangladesh agree that the robust and growing bilateral trade and investment flows between both nations could be further enhanced through increased air connectivity.

This would also facilitate greater people—to—people exchanges.

That’s the conclusion reached during the meeting in Dhaka between Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday.

Singapore’s Foreign Ministry says the Bangladeshi Premier and Mr Masagos reaffirmed the warm state of bilateral relations, and agreed to explore ways to deepen and broaden economic cooperation.

Earlier this week, Mr Masagos also met the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dipu Moni where they discussed regional and international developments, and areas of further cooperation, particularly in trade and investment and the exchange of knowledge.

Mr Masagos expressed appreciation for the contributions of the sizeable and vibrant Bangladeshi community in Singapore.
