IME and OPUS Microsystems collborate on micro mirrors for smartphones
Smartphones could soon project photos and videos on any surface, without being restricted to the screen size on the mobile devices themselves.
A*STAR's Institute of Microelectronics and OPUS Microsystems from Taiwan are collaborating to develop what's known as a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems or MEMS scanning mirror which would make that possible.
The project builds on the institute's extensive experience and knowledge in the field of MEMS.
