Housebreaker nabbed through mobile tracking app
SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 52—year—old man who is suspected to be involved in a case of housebreaking.
The suspect broke into a house in Pasir Ris earlier this week, and stole a watch and a smartphone.
Police identified him, using a mobile tracking application installed on the smartphone.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday at Marine Terrace, following an ambush operation.
Police found the victim’s smartphone and watch, and another 11 smartphones.
The suspect will be charged in court on Saturday.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to 10 years.
