HDB to award tender for Hougang Home Improvement Programme soon
SINGAPORE: HDB expects to award the tender for the Hougang Home Improvement Programme soon.
National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan said this in a written reply to a question in Parliament from the MP for Hougang, Png Eng Huat.
He said HDB had called for a tender in October 2012 and the Working Committee will need to appoint the design consultant and design the improvement items.
The committee will also conduct straw polls or walkabouts to survey residents’ response, and prepare the polling brochures and construct mock—up flats in preparation for polling. This process typically takes six months.
Hougang is one of the 26 Home Improvement Programmes that are pending polling.
