HDB resale prices fall to a 29 month low in July
HDB resale prices have fallen to a 29 month low after slipping 0.9 per cent in July compared with June.
It was also the sixth consecutive month that prices have fallen.
This is according to a flash report by the Singapore Real Estate Exchange, or SRX.
Compared to the peak in April 2013, prices have declined by 7.8 per cent.
Year-on-year, prices fell by 6.7 per cent.
But while prices continued to fall, sales volume increased.
The data shows that 1,340 resale flats were sold in July.
This was a 2 per cent increase from June.
Analysts say this was likely because buyers were returning to the market after the school holidays in June.
