Haze returns to Singapore
The National Environment Agency or NEA says since 10am today (20/08), conditions in Singapore have been slightly hazy.
The haziness is due to smoke from fires in southern Sumatra, brought over by the southwesterly winds overnight.
At 1pm the 24-hour PSI was between 26 to 32 and the 3-hourly PSI was 55.
In his Facebook post this evening, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan noted that the situation has improved with the 3-hour PSI coming down to 30 at 6pm.
Over the next few days, there may be slightly hazy conditions in the morning.
Thundery showers are forecast over Singapore in the late morning and early afternoon tomorrow.
