SINGAPORE: The month—long Hari Raya celebrations are now into its second day, and for one family, there was more reason to celebrate.
Sharita and her family are spending their first Hari Raya in a place they can now call their own.
Having recently lived in a temporary shelter and sharing a flat with others, the family of nine is now living in their own rental flat.
And this year’s Hari Raya is extra special.
They are one of 28 families who have bounced back after help from local shelter ’Wahah’ — which is Arabic for "oasis".
