Halimah Yacob to attend APEC 2012 Women and the Economy Forum in St Petersburg

Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Mdm Halimah Yacob, will lead a delegation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2012 Women and the Economy Forum (WEF) in St Petersburg, Russia from 28 to 30 June.

Mdm Halimah will speak at the High-Level Policy Dialogue (HLPD) on Women and the Economy on 30 June.

The Forum will focus on facilitating women's involvement in innovative economic growth, the fulfilment of their leadership potential, wider business opportunities and women's contributions to human capital development.

About 300 leaders from the public, private, non-governmental and academic sectors of 21 economies are expected to attend the Forum.
