Halimah is NTUC's Advisor for International Affairs

The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has appointed Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob its Advisor for International Affairs.
Its Central Committee unanimously decided on this, saying she's well-recognised and respected by the international community.
Madam Halimah has represented Singapore at key international platforms during her tenure with the labour movement.
NTUC said it'll be able to draw on her expertise, experience and high standing to advance its positions on international labour issues.
She can also help to nurture a stronger knowledge base with her insights on the workings of the International Labour Organization.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
