Govt to get more S’poreans involved in addressing country’s concerns

SINGAPORE: Acting Manpower Minister Tan Chuan—Jin said the government hopes to bring on board Singaporeans to be involved in the process of looking at the country’s concerns and addressing it fundamentally.

Speaking at a National Day dinner at Kembangan—Chai Chee, he said there are meaningful possibilities.

Mr Tan said when Singaporeans step forward and give themselves to society, Singaporeans also begin to bond as a nation.

He added that the government will step up and strengthen the country’s social safety nets.

And that the government will make sure that there are opportunities especially education for children here to have the best shot possible in life.
