SINGAPORE: Tiger Woods hopes to play in a tournament in Singapore one day.
The 2012 Barclays Singapore Open, known as ’Asia’s Major’, tees off next Thursday, but the former world number one is not among the star—studded list.
"I believe this may be the last year of the Barclays event, so I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but certainly I enjoy coming here. Last year was my first time, it’s a beautiful city and I would love to come back soon," he said.
Tiger Woods is in town for a golf clinic with students from the Singapore Sports School.
He opted to fulfil this corporate commitment over playing in the WGC HSBC Champions in China, citing fatigue as the main reason.
