Four youths to be charged with rioting at Bukit Batok
Four youths will be charged in court on Friday with rioting.
The four males aged between 22 and 24 years are alleged to have a assaulted a 40-year-old man at the HomeTeamNS (HTNS) @ Bukit Batok on Tuesday close to midnight.
Preliminary investigations by police revealed that the victim had been assaulted by a group of men after a dispute.
The four suspects were arrested on Wednesday.
If found guilty, the four youths could face a jail term of up to 7 years and caning.
Police said they will never condone such lawless and violent behaviour in public affecting the sense of security of the community.
Police added that effort will not be spared to hunt down the perpetrators of such crimes and ensure they face the full brunt of the law, regardless of their age.
