SINGAPORE: Former US Under Secretary of Defence for Policy Michle Flournoy has called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Foreign Affairs and Law Minister K Shanmugam.
Ms Flournoy, who is visiting Singapore as a Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow, met the two leaders separately on Tuesday.
In his meeting with Ms Flournoy, Prime Minister Lee expressed appreciation for the close US—Singapore defence cooperation during her tenure as Under Secretary of Defence for Policy.
A Foreign Ministry statement said that Ms Flournoy also had good exchanges in both her meetings with Mr Lee and Mr Shanmugam on developments in the US, as well as other international and regional developments.
Ms Flournoy will be delivering a S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) Distinguished Public Lecture on Wednesday.
