SINGAPORE: Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam will make his first official visit to Timor—Leste from 22 to 24 November 2012.
During his visit, Mr Shanmugan will call on President Taur Matan Ruak, Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao, Foreign Minister Jose Luis Guterres, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Alfredo Pires, Minister of Justice Dionisio Babo—Soares and Opposition leader Mari Alkatiri.
Mr Shanmugam will also be hosted to an official dinner by Mr Guterres.
While in Timor—Leste, Mr Shanmugam will take the opportunity to meet the Singaporean community there.
Mr Shanmugam will be accompanied by his wife Dr Seetha Shanmugam, Singapore’s Non—Resident Ambassador to Timor—Leste, Mr Lee Chiong Giam, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
