PETALING JAYA: Singapore had to wait a little longer to secure their Malaysia Cup quarter—final berth after losing 1—0 to Selangor PKNS in their Group A match on Tuesday evening.
There were late drama at the Petaling Jaya Stadium when PKNS were first awarded a penalty with five minutes left before the end of the match.
LionsXII’s goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud made a brilliant save from Michael Nicoise of PKNS.
But in stoppage time, Helmi Loussaief scored for the home side.
The final group matches will be played on September 14.
