SINGAPORE: Fire broke out at a office cum factory unit at 141 Kallang Way 1 on Thursday morning.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call about the fire at around 2.29am, and dispatched four fire engines, three Red Rhinos, five support vehicles and an ambulance to the scene.
The fire affected three factory—cum—office units.
Fire fighters had to force their way into the burning units.
The fire was put out within four hours of SCDF’s arrival.
SCDF said the affected units had housed reels and drums of industrial cables and contents of a printing company.
As a precautionary measure, fire fighters had to force their way into a fourth unit adjacent to one of the affected units and introduce water to cool the unit down.
SCDF conducted search and rescue operations in the affected units to ensure that no one was trapped.
No one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
