SINGAPORE: The PAP Community Foundation (PCF) has awarded 50 students the Polytechnic Study Award.
The award aims to ease the financial worries of students from low income families, and will also help them to cover tuition fees and living expenses.
So far, PCF has given out nearly S$1.5 million, benefiting 735 students from all five polytechnics.
Students were selected based on their academic merit as well as their involvement in community service.
The award quantum was increased from S$2,000 to S$2,700 this year.
The monthly household-per-capita income ceiling was also raised from S$700 to S$850 to allow more students to qualify for the award. - CNA/ac
