Eye specialist suspended for four months
The Singapore Medical Council, SMC, has suspended eye specialist Dr Currie Chiang for four months.
The suspension took effect on the 22nd of December.
This follows her conviction in court in May 2011 for under declaring her income over two years.
She was jailed for six months and find close to 120 thousand dollars for the offence.
Dr Chiang will also need to give a written undertaking that she will not repeat the offence, and to pay the cost of the hearing incurred by the SMC.
The doctor did not contest the charges brought against her by the council.
