Extension of train and bus services on New Year's Eve
SBS Transit and SMRT will be extending the operating hours of their train and bus services on New Year's Eve.
On the North-South and East-West Lines, the last trains towards Joo Koon, Pasir Ris and Jurong East MRT stations leave the terminals at 2.15am.
The last train to Marina Bay will leave City Hall at 2.01am.
On the North East Line, the last train in the direction of Harbourfront will depart Punggol at 1.45am.
The last train towards Punggol will leave Harbourfront at 2.16am.
Services on the Punggol and Sengkang LRT systems will also be extended to coincide with the last train arrivals on the North East Line.
The last train on the Sengkang LRT will depart at 2.52am, while the last train on the Punggol LRT will leave at 2.55am.
The last trains toward Harbourfront and Dhoby Ghaut stations on the Circle Line will leave the terminals at 1.38am.
The last bus timings of 29 selected SBS Transit bus services will also be extended.
And the six Nite Owl services will be extended to operate until 4am instead of 2am.
There will also be a change in the operating hours of 11 services - 10e, 14e, 30e, 74e, 89e, 97e, 128, 151e, 174e, 196e and 513.
They will not be operating during the regular evening peak hours as offices will be closed earlier on that day.
Instead, they will operate from 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
There will also be road diversions for several SMRT bus services due to the Marina Bay countdown.
Bus services 75, 77, 106, 167, 171, 857 and 960 will skip some bus stops in the Marina Bay area from 11pm to 1am the next day.
Due to the community countdown at Keat Hong, bus services 307 and 975 will also skip some bus stops near Lot One Shoppers' Mall from 7.30pm to 12.30am the next day.
