SINGAPORE: Former commissioner of the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Peter Lim Sin Pang will claim trial to charges of corruption.

He faces 10 counts of obtaining sexual gratification from three women between May 2010 and November 2011.

Lim’s lawyers, Mr Bala Chandran and Mr Hamidul Haq, took issue with the charges, saying that they were "very general in nature" and there was a "lack of clarity".

They will meet the prosecution to get more details, including the time, place and persons involved in the case.

They also want to know how Lim’s alleged offences had advanced the business interests of the women involved in the case.

The lawyers told reporters on Thursday that Lim was "anxious but fine" and that he has the support of his family.

A pre—trial conference will be held on August 24.
