Elderly in Canberra constituency to get more access to medical screenings
Elderly residents living in Canberra constituency in Nee Soon GRC can expect more access to medical screenings this year.
A new wellness centre, that includes a gym, will be added to the current Jelutung Community Club when upgrading works are completed around August.
This expanded health programme will cater to more of the constituency's 6,000 elderly residents.
It's hoped that medical screenings for them can be carried out on a quarterly basis instead of annually, as it's done now.
Community nurses from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital will also be stationed at the wellness centre on a regular basis to conduct the screenings.
