Driver of truck involved in Tampines accident out on bail

SINGAPORE: The driver of a truck which hit and killed two boys in Tampines on Monday has been released on police bail.

The driving licence of the man, who is 56 years old, has been suspended.

Investigations are ongoing.

The boys, aged seven and 13, were on a bicycle when they were hit by the cement truck at the junction of Tampines Avenue 9 and Tampines Street 45.

They died on the spot.

The driver was arrested at the scene.
