SINGAPORE: The Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, will attend the Petersberg Climate Dialogue IV in Berlin, Germany, from May 5 to May 7.
The dialogue is an annual forum where ministers from about 35 developed and developing countries meet to exchange views in preparation for the international climate change negotiations in the year ahead.
The upcoming meeting will be co-hosted by Germany and Poland, which is the incoming Presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol. - CNA/de
