Doctor suspended 24 months for havings relationship with patient
A medical practitioner has been suspended from practice for 24 months for having a relationship with one his patients.
The doctor, Solomon Wong who was with the Institute of Mental Health, had a three month sexual relationship with a psychiatric patient in late 2011 and early 2012.
The Singapore Medical Council's disciplinary tribunal said a psychiatric patient is in a vulnerable position and Dr Wong should have known this.
Dr Wong who was also censured, was ordered to pay the costs of the disciplinary proceeding.
