Doctor faces three-month suspension for misconduct
A doctor has been suspended and fined for failing to provide appropriate treatment.
Doctor Boon Seng Poh of BSP Clinic in Ubi Techpark has pleaded guilty to 15 charges.
The Singapore Medical Council says he over-prescribed medication to a patient.
On top of that, he'd failed to maintain detailed records, and did not treat the patient in consultation with a specialist.
But the Medical Council noted his attempt to wean patients off medication, and patient testimonials that he was a caring doctor.
He will be censured, suspended for three months, and pay a $5,000 fine plus the cost of the disciplinary proceedings.
