
SINGAPORE: The Elections Department has identified 10 polling stations for voters to go to on January 26 to cast their vote for the Punggol East Single Member Constituency by—election.
The Polling stations were listed in a Gazette announcement on Wednesday by the Returning Officer.
They include school premises and HDB void decks in the division.
Nine overseas polling stations were also listed.
The Punggol East by—election will see a four—cornered fight among candidates, Dr Koh Poh Koon of the People’s Action Party (PAP), Mr Kenneth Jeyaretnam of the Reform Party (RP), Mr Desmond Lim of the Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) and Ms Lee Li Lian of the Workers’ Party (WP).
The candidates, who started campaigning Wednesday afternoon, will be able to hold rallies at two outdoor sites.
One is the open field in front of Block 128C, Punggol Field Walk. The other is the open field in front of Block 183C, Rivervale Crescent.
Police said the sites are available between January 17 and 24, from 7am to 10pm.
