SINGAPORE: The number of dengue cases continues to rise, reaching almost 539 for the week ending April 27th.
This is the highest weekly number recorded, since the last major outbreak in 2005.
The total number of dengue cases so far this year has now hit more than 5,385, compared to last year's total of more than 4,632.
The National Environment Agency provided these figures on Monday, a day after a national campaign was launched as part of concerted efforts to curb the epidemic. - CNA/xq
