A slow-down in the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority's computer system caused a massive tailback at the Woodlands Checkpoint this morning.
The intermittent slowdown occurred between 10AM and 10.45AM, which coincided with the peak period.
More resources were immediately deployed.
The ICA says it regrets the inconvenience caused to travellers.
It is investigating the cause of the system slow-down.
Travellers leaving Singapore by the Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoint can find out the traffic situation by listening to TrafficWatch on the radio, visiting LTA's One Motoring website or calling the traffic information hotline at 6863-0117.
