COI into Little India riot had first meeting on Monday
The Committee of Inquiry or COI looking into the Little India riot has met for the first time yesterday.
They discussed the "work and processes" of the inquiry.
This was confirmed by the Secretariat for the COI.
Chaired by former Supreme Court Judge Pannir Selvam, the COI has been tasked to establish to factors and circumstances that led to the riot.
It also has to consider the adequacy of current measures to manage such incidents in areas where foreign workers congregate - and to recommend further measures to improve their management and reduce the risk of such incidents.

Separately, the police say they have arrested another man in relation to the rioting in Little India over a week ago.
The 35-year-old Indian national will be charged in court this afternoon with rioting.
He will be the 35th person to be charged.
