COEs ended mostly lower except for small cars in latest bidding exercise

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended mostly lower except for small cars at the close of the latest bidding exercise at 4pm on Wednesday.

For Category A (cars 1,600cc and below), premiums closed at $68,000, compared with $66,889 in the previous bidding exercise. 

That's $1,111 or about 1.6 per cent higher. 

For Category B (cars 1,601cc and above), the COE costs $80,191, compared with $88,002 - down $7,811 or 9.7 per cent. 

For Category C (goods vehicles and buses), the COE is now $57,334 - down $2,000 or 3.5 per cent. 

For Category D (motorcycles), the COE premium is $1,801, falling $212 or 11.8 per cent. 

In Category E (open), premiums closed at $87,999, down $5,991 or 6.8 per cent.
