CNA launches Chinese SMS News Alert service
Channel NewsAsia has launched a Chinese SMS News Alert service to provide breaking news and news headlines to Chinese-speaking users in Singapore.
It is offered in collaboration with SingTel.
First-time subscribers will pay 10 cents for a 30-day trial, after which, the monthly subscription is $2.50.
Subscribers will get Singapore and world news in a 70-character message.
Some Asian entertainment news will be added into the mix on weekends and public holidays.
Users can call SingTel's hotline at 1688, or log on to xinmsn.com/chnews to find out more about the service.
